HAPI Disclaimer & Safety Signposting
1. Disclaimer
HAPI provides coaching, not medical, psychological or crisis services.
· What coaching is: a structured, professional conversation that helps individuals, couples and organisations gain clarity and take purposeful action. Our work is grounded in the belief that most people aren’t broken — they’re stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.
· What coaching is not: coaching is not psychotherapy, counselling, or medical treatment, and it doesn’t replace diagnosis, treatment or advice from a qualified healthcare professional. If you’re in need of clinical treatment, please seek the appropriate professional support.
· No guarantee of outcomes: coaching outcomes depend on many factors, including your own commitment and circumstances. We can’t and don’t guarantee specific results. What we promise is our full attention, honesty and professional diligence.
· Professional judgement: we may recommend that coaching isn’t appropriate for you at this time, or that you first seek support elsewhere. We take this responsibility seriously and will always be honest with you about it.
Relationship & couples work: working with a partner involves both people’s consent and participation. We’ll agree at the start how communication and confidentiality work when more than one person is in the room.
2. Confidentiality & its limits
· What you share in coaching is treated as confidential.
· The limits, explained in plain terms: (1) if we believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm, our duty of care takes priority and we’ll seek appropriate support, involving you wherever possible; (2) if the law requires disclosure (e.g. a court order); (3) we may discuss anonymised matters in professional supervision — this is standard ethical practice and never includes identifying details.
· [Confirm wording with your professional body.]
3. If you need help right now
Coaching is not a crisis service. If you’re in distress, or worried about yourself or someone else, please reach out to the right people:
